This robust intergenerational ensemble leads our Traditional Worship Service through hymn-singing and the performance of sacred music across a variety of traditions. Chancel Choir has one of the strongest legacies of music ministry within Haddonfield UMC and performs for a variety of settings outside of our church as well as on Sunday morning.
Chancel Choir
Children ages 4-12 participate in two choirs, Cherub Choir (Pre-K4-1st grade) and Joyful Hearts (2nd-5th grade). Rehearsals incorporate early vocal training and basic music fundamentals in a loving and accepting environment. These two groups offer opportunities for children to experience performance and the gift of music!
Children’s Choir
The Holtz Handbell Choir offers a strong focus on fellowship and musical growth. This group prepares music to present in worship and during occasional special events throughout the year.
Holtz Handbell Choir
This 60 member choral ensemble performs masterworks with an orchestra made up of members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and friends. A primary outreach ministry of HUMC, the MasterChorale draws from both church members as well as individuals from the Greater South Jersey area and the Philadelphia region.
Modern Worship Team
Our Worship Team prepares contemporary music for our Modern worship service each Sunday. The team rehearses weekly on Wednesday nights and includes singers and instrumentalists.
