COVID-19 Response

Change in Masking Policy for Worship - From the very beginning of the pandemic, our church has been closely following and mirroring policies and guidelines from the CDC, state of New Jersey, Camden County, and the Haddonfield Board of Education regarding opening, masking, vaccinations, etc. Effective March 7, the mask mandate for public schools is being relaxed for the first time since March 2020 for the state of New Jersey as well as for Haddonfield public schools. Similarly, the CDC has altered its mask guidelines. In accordance with these, we will return to masking as optional for in-person worship this weekend, March 5 and 6. Our choirs and church staff will continue to wear masks in worship, and I strongly encourage all who still feel inclined to wear a mask for your own safety and the safety of others. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or possible exposure, please refrain from attending in-person worship and join us online. We will continue to monitor local numbers and state guidelines and will keep the church informed of any other revisions to this policy. Please remember our primary goal is the health and safety of all of our members. We ask that the side balcony be reserved only for people who want to wear masks and please respect the masking choice and distance of those around you if you choose to attend in person.

Church Office Open during office hours
The church building will be open office hours, and all classes, meetings, and groups may use the building, provided they schedule room use through the church office, and follow guidelines.

Worship Schedule

  • Saturday Night 5pm worship in the Chapel

  • Saturday 6pm Online Only Service pre-recorded virtual service available on Facebook and YouTube any time

  • Sunday 8am worship in the Chapel

  • Sunday 9am Contemporary worship is in-person and live-streamed from Fellowship Hall

  • Sunday 10:30am Traditional worship is in-person and live-streamed from the Sanctuary

Children's Ministries
Masks are required indoors. We ask that all volunteers working with children under 12 be vaccinated and wear masks indoors. 

Food Service
Food can be served at events, with individually served plates, or family-style service. No buffet meal service at this time.

Virtual Ministry

We will continue to provide virtual worship services, which can be viewed live or watched at your convenience, through the leadership of our amazing staff and lay leadership. I invite you to not only worship virtually, but to share our services with friends and family, wherever they may be, so we can grow our ministry impact and to inspire and encourage others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Contemporary worship at 9am and Traditional worship at 10:30am are available through haddonfieldumc.org or facebook.com/HaddonfieldUMC/live, as well as through the church app. We are growing the number of small groups in our church through Zoom.
